Flexible front and back-end functionalities
When choosing a payments provider, one of the most important factors is the functionality. This was of course also the case for Malmö Opera and Malmö Live. Their previous solution only offered card payments, they received a lot of phone orders, and they felt there was a lack of transparency when it came to drop-off rates.
One great feature of Nordea Connect is the ability to add or remove payment options to the solution as time passes. For Malmö Opera and Malmö Live this meant that MobilePay and Swish were included as well as cards. This addition proved popular, with 70% of home country user choosing mobile payment methods.
Malmö Opera and Malmö Live also implemented the Nordea Connect Merchant Portal, which provides several functions which can be useful to the merchant. For example, seeing how the payment flows are performing and where customers drop off, an insight which can be used to improve the flows further. In this case, the function allowing the box office and customer service teams to send payment links directly to customers, is expected to improve the work flows for the box office team, by reducing administrative complications.
A great experience for all customers
Making sure that all customers had a good purchasing experience was an important factor when working on the sales flow. This included both improving accessibility for the visually impaired, as well as also adding an English language option, and making sure the payments window aligned with the overall site design.

Malmö Live to align the design to their website design and incorporate more languages and payment types. Not only that, but it met the accessibility needs of the site, so even users with special requirements could access the necessary information.
Customers purchasing tickets to the opera, are now met by a platform that looks just like the site they’ve been navigating. And we were happy to be able to help them reach their goals of being accessible both by international users and those with special requirements.
Smooth integration against the clock
Having only found out four months prior to go-live that a new PSP was needed, time was of the essence for Malmö Opera and Malmö Live. Fortunately, Nordea Connect could offer a quick integration, without having to compromise on features and functions.
In total, the integration was completed within one and a half months, thanks to the provided documentation and collaboration between Nordea Connect and Malmö Opera and Malmö Live.

The result was a fully integrated solution, completed in less than two months, which successfully passed the test of many international ticket purchases, for a large online event hosted by Malmö Opera and Malmö live.

Malmö Opera and Malmö Live have a much-improved purchase path supported by Nordea Connect. The solution provides the visibility, accessibility, and flexibility they wanted from their new PSP, and allows for edits and additions, so is futureproof.
